Our mission at Camp Horizon is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching every person through the word of God that they may know Him and mature in their relationship with Him.

For 50 years, Camp Horizon has been a place where faith grows and lifelong memories are made. What started as a simple vision has become a beloved tradition, offering meaningful spiritual programs, exciting activities, and a supportive environment where young people can learn, explore, and thrive.
In the early 1970’s, Camp Horizon operated on various properties throughout Central Florida until the purchase of our current location in 1975. The dining hall and original cabins were built in 1976. Since then, we’ve added the main lodge, the chapel, a swimming pool, and new cabins. In the off-season, Camp Horizon is a popular destination for church group retreats, weekend bible conferences, and other Christian fellowships.
As we’ve grown, we’ve worked to ensure Camp Horizon is a place where adventure, friendship, and personal, spiritual growth come to life. Each summer we create new opportunities for campers while staying true to traditions that make this place special. Whether it’s improving facilities, updating scripture-led devotions, or enhancing an activity, every step forward has been driven by our mission to provide a meaningful and unforgettable summer experience.
There’s a reason why families return year after year — and why generations of campers come back as volunteers and staff. Camp Horizon isn’t just a summer camp; it’s a place where lifelong friendships are formed, faith is strengthened, and memories are passed down from one generation to the next.

Our programs are designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment where campers can explore their relationship with Jesus Christ through engaging activities, worship, and fellowship. From adventurous outdoor activities like sailing, canoeing, and archery, to creative arts and crafts, there is something for everyone. Our dedicated and trained staff are committed to ensuring that each camper has a memorable and spiritually enriching experience.
